Like a man in his fishing, so is writing.
You throw the fishing rod as if throwing on chances
while anchoring your boat on a chosen spot. In the open water.
And your fishing line sink deep in the ocean of words. You wait
in the hope that the hook lay captive to some imaginary mouths
snapped on a bait, [...]

I have forgotten
from long ago
on how I scribbled on my pad paper,
with my fat pencil. A namesake
I inherit
a birth right I shared
with Ryan,
a brother, no one has seen.
My twin.
Like Cain and Abel, we are
tender sprouted beings
casted like seeds in the field.
Which ones will survive?
Which ones will die?
Which ones will accept the fate?
And rooted, struggling,
ambling each [...]

Your face tells much
and the crooked lines circling
your eyes, expressionless
but I have found a meaning.
You began to speak
but I can’t hear until
that voice, suddenly, came
from nowhere. Sshhh. Quiet.
Keep calm. You wait-
for the one who sings the lullaby
to a child. Yes, you are a child
whose life will begin at forty.
And sleep will once again visit
to take [...]

Came down the confetti
among the concrete gardens
of skyscrapers in the city
we embrace-
the promise of freedom
remembering the days
when you conquer
the hearts of men.
Frail and afraid
among the chains,
blind slaves to tyranny.
Bye, bye
yellow butterfly.
Flutter your wings
amidst the tempest
set free, unafraid
of your glory-defining
turbulent life.
Like the many yellow
ribbons tossed in the wind,
a salutation to dawn.
An ode to the beauty
of your [...]

There was a time when I thought happiness
was infinite and the night full of stars.
And I have my way of keeping track
each day written on a page. There was a time,
when the breeze came to my sails
as it float away myriad of dreams-
like kites braving the sky.
And the harvest is here,
filled my basket overflowing
of summer [...]

On the passages, it says
of a prison, an exile. In Babylon
where walls and ceilings are gone.
Watching the blue sky
turn into darkness, blotted out
by billows of smoke and fire
over ruins of crushed bricks
and pulverized sandstones.
Three hundred and sixty five days.
And life now are moving images
of evacuees and troops,
of tanks and warplanes
from a distance. Boundaries
of earth mounds [...]

To this semi-privacy. An epitaph reads,
“in this sanctum, a restless, herein lies,
its opaque remembrance failing to breath
devoid of oxygen, rousing to the grind
like a zombie of the worst kind”.
Against the ancient cracked walls, my fingers
will then, smear red letter stains of anguish.
The light bulb is my flickering moon
cocooned in cobwebs, I dread.
It went dead as [...]
